Trump claims Putin is risking Russia's downfall due to his actions

In a recent post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump expressed strong criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing him as having "gone absolutely CRAZY" due to his ongoing military actions in Ukraine. Trump indicated that he believes Putin's ambitions extend beyond the current conflict and criticized the Russian leader for causing unnecessary casualties, not limited to military personnel. He stated, "I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine," warning that such ambitions could lead to Russia's downfall.

During a press interaction, Trump reiterated his disapproval of Putin's actions, stating, "I don’t like what Putin is doing, not even a little bit." He reflected on his past positive relationship with Putin, emphasizing a shift in the Russian leader’s behavior that he finds concerning.

Additionally, Trump directed criticism towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, asserting that Zelensky's rhetoric is detrimental to Ukraine's interests. He remarked, “Everything out of his mouth causes problems," and highlighted that the war would not have occurred during his presidency, attributing blame to Zelensky, Putin, and President Biden.

Following a recent phone call with Putin, Trump suggested that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine could commence soon, even proposing the Vatican as a potential venue for negotiations. However, the Kremlin has dismissed this idea, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commenting on the impracticality of such an arrangement.

As discussions surrounding the conflict continue, both Trump’s comments and the reactions from the Kremlin indicate ongoing complexities in the geopolitical landscape involving Russia and Ukraine.
