Powerball jackpot reaches highest amount of 2025

The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $605 million, marking the largest amount of the year. This increase follows the most recent drawing on Saturday, where no tickets matched all six winning numbers. The drawn numbers included the white balls 23, 40, 49, 65, and 69, with the red Powerball also being 23.

The current estimated cash value of the jackpot stands at $273.4 million. This significant prize has accumulated over 32 consecutive drawings since the last jackpot win on May 31, 2025, when a ticket sold in California won $204.5 million. Previous wins this year include $167.3 million in Kentucky and $526.5 million in California, among others.

In addition to the main jackpot, there have been notable secondary wins. From June 2 to August 13, a total of 37 players won $1 million by matching all five white balls, while nine players who opted for the Power Play feature won $2 million. However, no prizes were claimed in the most recent drawing.

Lottery players have the option to receive jackpot winnings in either annual installments or a lump sum payment. The annuity option consists of an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year. The odds of winning any prize in the Powerball lottery are approximately 1 in 24.9, with odds of winning the jackpot at 1 in 292.2 million. The next drawing is scheduled for Monday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
