Peter Schweizer Suggests Reasons for Biden's Exit from the 2024 Race

In a historic move, President Joe Biden has granted pardons to several family members, a decision that has sparked discussion among lawmakers and commentators. This action is notable as no previous U.S. president has extended pardons to family members during their departure from office. Biden's pardons, issued in December 2024, included his daughter Ashley, brother James, sister Valerie, and her spouse, following a previous pardon for Hunter Biden.

In a recent conversation, Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and author of several books on the Biden family, emphasized the unprecedented nature of these pardons. He pointed out that all six individuals pardoned are linked to various limited liability companies (LLCs), suggesting a potential motive behind the sweeping clemency.

Schweizer speculates that the pardons may relate to activities involving these LLCs, particularly concerning Hunter Biden's controversial art deals. He further posits that Biden's decision to pardon his family members could have been part of a strategic exit from the 2024 presidential race, which he formally withdrew from in July 2024.

Moreover, legal expert Alan Dershowitz raised concerns that while the pardons may shield Biden’s family from criminal prosecution, they could also diminish their legal protections, such as the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination during congressional inquiries. He argued that these pardons do not eliminate the possibility of investigations into the Biden family's business dealings.

As discussions around these pardons continue, there is a growing interest in the implications for Biden's family and potential future investigations into their financial activities.
