Mysterious drones found flying over New Jersey

The Pentagon has not yet requested assistance from U.S. Northern Command in response to reports of mysterious drones flying over New Jersey, according to a military spokesperson. The sightings of large drones have raised concerns, with some being spotted near U.S. military installations. The FBI and local law enforcement are currently investigating the sightings.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the drones flying over New Jersey are not foreign, and President Biden has been briefed on the situation. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI are actively looking into the matter.

The Federal Aviation Administration first received reports of drone activity on November 18 in Morris County, which is close to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. Since then, sightings have been reported in various locations across the Garden State, including Mendham and Parsippany.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy reported 49 drone sightings on Sunday, predominantly in Hunterdon County. He noted that these numbers may include duplicate reports or potential sightings of the same drone multiple times.

Federal lawmakers from both parties have expressed concerns about the drone sightings and have called on national security agencies to provide more information promptly. Military analysts have also weighed in on the national security implications of the drone activity, casting doubt on the possibility of hobbyists being responsible.
