Authorities in New Orleans have arrested four additional individuals linked to a recent jailbreak at the Orleans Parish Jail, bringing the total number of arrests related to the incident to 11. The individuals arrested over the weekend include 18-year-old Patricia Vanburen and 27-year-old Tyshanea "Minnie" Randolph, along with 47-year-old Lenton Vanburen Sr., who is the father of one of the escaped inmates, and 40-year-old Angel McKey. These individuals are accused of assisting the escapees in various capacities.
The police executed a search warrant at a residence in New Orleans’ 7th District in pursuit of Lenton Vanburen, who remains at large. The latest arrests follow the capture of Emmitt Weber, 28, who allegedly aided two of the inmates after the escape. Currently, five of the ten inmates who escaped are still unaccounted for, while the others have been recaptured.
Among the escaped inmates are Lenton Vanburen Jr., Jermaine Donald, Antoine Massey, Derrick Groves, and Leo O. Tate Sr., each facing multiple charges, including serious offenses such as second-degree murder and attempted murder. The authorities have classified the remaining escapees as armed and dangerous, urging the public to exercise caution.
