DEA arrests drug traffickers at nightclub, detains 50 illegal immigrants

On a Sunday morning operation in Adams County, Colorado, federal agents apprehended approximately 50 illegal immigrants linked to the Tren de Aragua gang, a criminal organization originating from Venezuela. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Field Division, collaborating with various law enforcement agencies, executed the raid targeting drug trafficking activities associated with the gang.

The operation focused on a venue described as a "makeshift nightclub" that was operating under an invitation-only policy. According to the DEA, numerous individuals connected to the gang were present at the location during the raid. Law enforcement officials reported that drugs, weapons, and cash were seized in the operation.

The DEA shared updates on social media, including images of the detained individuals in handcuffs. While many of those taken into custody are believed to have ties to the Tren de Aragua gang, the agency did not disclose specific details regarding their individual backgrounds.

This enforcement action aligns with a broader strategy led by the Trump administration aimed at addressing illegal immigration and prioritizing the apprehension of criminal illegal immigrants. Since Trump assumed office, similar operations have occurred in various U.S. cities, resulting in the detention of hundreds of individuals.

In addition to this raid, the White House announced the initiation of deportation flights, part of a response to ongoing immigration policies. The administration has also indicated plans for retaliatory measures against Colombia for its refusal to accept deportation flights.

As federal agencies continue to address immigration and drug trafficking, this operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and enforce U.S. immigration laws.
