CEO murder suspect detained at Pennsylvania McDonald's

A suspect in the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was apprehended at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania and is currently being held for questioning, according to a source familiar with the investigation. The individual was found to be in possession of a gun and silencer similar to those used in the shooting, along with four fake IDs and a manifesto, as stated by the New York Post.

The manifesto allegedly criticized health care companies for prioritizing profits over care, according to a senior law enforcement official cited by the New York Times. The suspect was captured on surveillance footage using a laptop at a New York McDonald's prior to the shooting, which aided in his identification at the Pennsylvania fast food establishment.

The man's arrest has raised questions about his true identity, as authorities in Altoona work to confirm his details. The NYPD has yet to arrive at the scene, and the Altoona Police Department has not responded to requests for comment as of now.

Thompson was shot outside the Hilton Midtown in New York City and the suspect was last seen at the Port Authority bus station in Upper Manhattan. Altoona, where the suspect was apprehended, is located approximately 100 miles east of Pittsburgh.
