A tragic plane crash in Brazil has left many dead after a passenger plane belonging to VOEPASS plummeted into a death spiral before crashing in the city of Vinhedo. The airline confirmed that there were around 62 people on board at the time of the crash, and Brazil's President Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva stated that it "appeared" that all had perished in the accident.

The aircraft involved in the crash was identified as an ATR-72-500 turboprop with 68 seats, manufactured by the French company ATR. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).
