Taylor Swift breaks Spotify record with 11th album release

Taylor Swift made music history once again with the release of her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," on Spotify. The 34-year-old singer became Spotify's most-streamed artist in a single day, breaking her own record set back in October 2023 with the release of "1989 (Taylor's Version)." Additionally, her 11th studio album became Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day, with over 300 million streams and the first to cross the 200 million stream mark.

Swift also achieved success with her collaboration with Post Malone on the song "Fortnight," which became the most-streamed song on the service in a single day. This latest album now holds the top three spots for most-streamed albums in a single day in Spotify history, including her 2022 album "Midnights" and the release of "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

Even before its release, "The Tortured Poets Department" was setting records as the most pre-saved album Countdown Page in Spotify history. Swift's fans were treated to a surprise when she announced that the album was actually a secret double album, featuring 15 extra songs in addition to the initially anticipated 16 tracks.

Swift's success on Spotify is just one part of her overall achievements, as she was recently named as part of the Forbes annual billionaires list. With a dedicated fan base and a knack for breaking records, Taylor Swift continues to solidify her place as one of the top artists in the music industry.
