Spotify Wrapped 2025: Bad Bunny surpasses Taylor Swift in streams

The holiday season has brought the popular Spotify Wrapped feature, which provides users with a personalized overview of their listening habits over the past year. This year, Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has regained the title of the most-streamed artist globally, with over 19.8 billion streams, surpassing Taylor Swift, who held the top position for the previous two years. Following Bad Bunny in the global rankings are The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish.

In the U.S., Swift remains the most-streamed artist, with Drake, Morgan Wallen, and Kendrick Lamar rounding out the top four. Bad Bunny occupies the fifth position in the U.S. rankings. The most-streamed album globally is Bad Bunny's “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” followed by the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack and several other 2024 releases, including albums from Billie Eilish and SZA. In the U.S., Morgan Wallen's “I'm The Problem” takes the lead.

For songs, the globally most-streamed title belongs to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's “Die with a Smile,” followed by Eilish's “Birds of a Feather” and others. In the U.S., the top song is Lamar and SZA's “Luther.”

This year's Spotify Wrapped includes new features such as “Top Albums,” a fan leaderboard, and a “Listening Age” comparison. Users can also engage with the “Wrapped Party” to compare their results with others. Some features from previous years, like “Top Genres,” have returned due to user feedback. With Spotify holding a significant share of the music streaming market, the platform continues to shape the music industry landscape, accounting for 84% of music revenue in the U.S. as reported by the Recording Industry Association of America.
