Rupert Murdoch's engagement to former model and conservative radio host cancelled

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and former model and conservative radio host Ann Lesley Smith have called off their engagement just two weeks after announcing their plans to wed. Murdoch, who owns Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, has been married four times in the past. The couple had planned to wed this summer, just one year after Murdoch finalized his divorce from his fourth wife, Jerry Hall. Murdoch has a net worth of more than $8 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The two met at Murdoch's vineyard in Bel Air, California, last year, according to reports. A spokesperson for Murdoch declined to comment on the breakup. Murdoch had previously told the New York Post that he was "very nervous" about falling in love again but was happy with Smith and knew it would be his last relationship. Smith and her late husband reportedly owned a vineyard as well. The news of the breakup was first reported by Vanity Fair.
