Kansas emerged victorious that year. Currently, Duke, under the guidance of coach Jon Scheyer, is considered the favorite to win the championship, with standout freshman Cooper Flagg a potential candidate for the tournament's most outstanding player award.
Duke's matchup with Houston is anticipated to be competitive, as statistical analyst Ken Pomeroy notes that Duke boasts the top offense in college basketball, while Houston leads in defensive metrics and excels in three-point shooting. Duke's roster features a youthful frontcourt of four freshmen, contrasting with Houston's more experienced players, three of whom are 22 or older.
