Elon Musk denies journalists special treatment

Elon Musk announced Thursday that journalists won't be given special treatment on Twitter. The statement followed the suspension of accounts belonging to journalists who covered him, including those from The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN. During a Twitter Spaces chat, Musk said users will be suspended if they dox and that there is no difference between journalists and regular users; they are all just "Twitter citizens." Twitter has since changed its rules to ban users from posting a person's live location. The suspension of these accounts has been met with concern from the media organizations involved, who believe it undermines Musk's plans for a platform for free speech.
