Conor McGregor in talks with Logan Paul for boxing exhibition

Conor McGregor recently took to social media to announce that he is in negotiations to fight Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. McGregor stated that he has reached preliminary agreements with the family of billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani for the fight.

In addition to the potential bout with Paul, McGregor also addressed rumors of a fight with UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, stating that the speculation was false. Topuria also denied any interest in fighting McGregor, citing personal reasons.

This announcement comes on the heels of a recent civil court ruling in Ireland, where McGregor was ordered to pay nearly 250,000 Euros to a woman who accused him of sexual assault in a Dublin hotel penthouse in 2018. McGregor has maintained his innocence, claiming the encounter was consensual and that the allegations were fabricated.

McGregor, once a prominent figure in the UFC, has been sidelined since sustaining a leg injury during a bout with Dustin Poirier in 2021. He withdrew from a scheduled match with Michael Chandler last June due to a broken toe.

Logan Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, has previously fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match. His brother, Jake Paul, recently defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match that was streamed on Netflix and reportedly viewed in 60 million households.

As negotiations for the potential McGregor-Paul bout continue, fans and critics alike are closely following the developments surrounding these two polarizing figures in the world of combat sports.
