The CELSIUS energy drink brand capitalized on a recent labeling mishap involving High Noon Vodka Seltzer, which resulted in a recall of certain products. The recall affected two production lots of High Noon’s 12-packs, where some cans labeled as CELSIUS® ASTRO VIBE™ Energy Drink were actually filled with vodka seltzer.

According to High Noon, the mislabeling prompted concerns that consumers could unintentionally purchase alcoholic beverages disguised as energy drinks. In response to the incident, CELSIUS acknowledged the situation's viral nature on social media, noting that users were actively engaging with the mix-up. A CELSIUS spokesperson mentioned that the internet was taking the incident in stride and shared notable comments from Instagram users, some of which humorously referenced the error.

CELSIUS took proactive steps to engage with the public during this period of heightened attention. Kyle Watson, the Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the company’s strategic response to the viral moment, emphasizing their goal to connect with consumers while providing clear information about the recall. Watson noted that the reaction to their engagement was largely positive.

Additionally, CELSIUS posted a formal notice regarding the recall on their website, ensuring that customers had access to accurate information about the affected products. The incident has drawn mixed reactions online, with some users playfully suggesting new product ideas, such as a non-alcoholic version dubbed "Celtzers."
