Cellphone hits Bebe Rexha, she falls at concert

Bebe Rexha, the three-time Grammy nominee, was hit by a cellphone thrown from the crowd during her Best F*n Night of My Life tour in New York City on Sunday. The incident caused her neck to snap back and knocked her to the floor, but she was helped off the Rooftop at Pier 17 stage by crew members. The suspect, Nicolas Malvagna, 27, of Manalapan, New Jersey, was arrested. Videos of the incident showed Rexha gesturing to fans when the phone flew into her, causing her to collapse to her knees. The singer received stitches, according to entertainment outlet Pop Base, but HuffPost was unable to confirm this. Rexha’s reps have not responded to HuffPost’s request for more information. The singer’s tour has upcoming shows in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and other venues. Rexha has been nominated for three Grammys, including best dance/electronic recording for her David Guetta collaboration “I’m Good (Blue)” in 2023. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of performers during concerts.
