Ariana Grande addresses comments about her body after 'Wicked' role

Ariana Grande, known for her powerful vocals and glamorous image, recently shared her thoughts on society's beauty standards in a candid interview with French journalist Crazy Sally. The singer, who portrays Glinda in the upcoming movie adaptation of "Wicked," discussed the pressures she faces in maintaining a certain appearance in the public eye.

Grande acknowledged that she has been under intense scrutiny since her teenage years, constantly hearing criticisms and expectations about her looks. She described the experience as being like a "specimen in a petri dish," where she has been subjected to various opinions on what is considered beautiful or acceptable.

Despite the challenges she faces, Grande highlighted the importance of having a strong support system that helps her maintain her confidence and self-assurance. She emphasized that she does not give space for negative commentary to affect her mindset.

In a separate interview for Vanity Fair, Grande also addressed rumors about undergoing plastic surgery procedures. During a lie detector test, the singer denied having any work done, including nose jobs, breast implants, face-lifts, chin implants, or a fox eye lift. She passed the test with flying colors, reaffirming her natural appearance.
