Musk plans to create ChatGPT to counter "woke AI"

Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest person and Tesla CEO, is reportedly assembling a team of artificial intelligence (AI) experts to build a non-woke alternative to OpenAI's ChatGPT bot. According to sources familiar with the situation, Musk has been actively recruiting professionals in the field, including Igor Babuschkin, a former DeepMind AI division employee.

ChatGPT was released in November 2022, and quickly gained over a million users. However, the AI program has been found to be biased towards left-leaning political messages. Additionally, Microsoft, which has invested $10 billion in OpenAI, has experienced issues with the technology since it was incorporated into their Bing search engine. Reports of the chatbot producing bizarre, inaccurate and even threatening messages to users were found shortly after its launch.

Musk has been vocal in his criticism of OpenAI for training AI to be politically correct, and previously tweeted that the program "might need a bit more polish." If Musk does indeed develop a rival to ChatGPT, he will join a growing field of AI developers. As the technology continues to advance, it remains to be seen whether Musk will be able to create a more proficient, unbiased AI program.
