Ford recalls 400,000 vehicles for multiple issues

Ford Motor Company has recently issued a series of recall notices affecting approximately 400,000 vehicles, as reported in filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) dated December 20. The impacted vehicles include a variety of trucks, SUVs, and cars.

In the truck and heavy-duty vehicle category, Ford has recalled nearly 300,000 diesel pickups and commercial vehicles due to concerns about biodiesel deposits potentially causing high-pressure fuel pump failure, which could lead to an increased risk of a crash. The models affected by this recall include certain F-Series Super Duty vehicles and F-650, F-750 models from the 2020-2022 model years.

In the SUV category, Ford is recalling over 20,000 hybrid electric Ford Escapes and 4,000 Lincoln Corsairs from 2020-2024 and 2021-2024 model years, respectively, due to concerns about potential high-voltage battery short-circuiting. Additionally, Ford is recalling 30,317 Ford Flexes over concerns about distorted or blank analog rearview camera images that could impact driver visibility and increase the risk of an accident.

Ford is also recalling nearly 48,000 Lincoln Nautilus SUVs from the 2024-2025 model years over concerns about automatic window reverse systems not reacting properly, potentially posing a risk of pinching individuals before the window retracts.

Furthermore, Ford has issued recalls for more than 12,000 Ford Fiestas and 802 Lincoln MKTs from the 2019 model year due to rearview camera issues.

Owners of the affected vehicles will receive notices in the mail and can contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332 for questions or guidance on repairs. This series of recalls underscores the importance of addressing potential safety concerns promptly to ensure the well-being of drivers and passengers.
